It is alleged that the night watchman of the pressing is behind the act.
Last week, Alain Yves Fofie, manager of a popular pressing around the Damas junction in Yaounde came to work during the early hours of the morning only to discover an unusual crowd of people in front of the pressing. Nobody seems to understand what was happening. The entrance into the pressing was in such a manner that most observers thought the night watchman had created a little hut to hide himself from rainfall. It was only after a careful look that it was realised that the door of the pressing was partly opened with no worker inside. At the beginning, Fofie said nobody could imagine a theft incident had taken place given that everything inside the pressing seemed in place.
After an inventory carried out by the Manager of the pressing and gendarmerie officials from the Efoulan Brigade, it was realised that some 400 dresses had been stolen from the pressing. Mr Fofie said more than 60 male suits, 26 trousers, nine sports shoes, over 60 shirts, uncoun
