Kigali — As part of efforts to build infrastructure necessary to accommodate visually impaired persons in Kigali, Indian based Rwanda Renaissance- a non-profit organization in collaboration with Kigali City Council, will hold a meeting next month to explore ways of achieving this noble goal.
The Conference, dubbed "Vision beyond Sight 2009" will also see the launch of an initiative by Rwanda Renaissance to aid visually impaired persons in Kigali.
Expected to grace the event is the General Secretary of the National Association for the blind in India, Shri Ramkrishna.
"We are indeed pleased with the positive response received and are looking forward to good deliberations at the Conference aimed at assisting the visually impaired in the city with suitable programs," said Rwanda Renaissance Chairman, Clarence Fernandes.
Fernandes affirmed that 'Vision Beyond Sight' will be an annual event in Kigali.
Rwanda Renaissance is a non-profit organization established to promote and develop social, cultural and economic relations between India and Rwanda.
