Simba SC duo Danny Mrwanda and Emanuel Okwi are likely to face lengthy ban for sticking their middle finger up at fans.

The players were pictured making the gesture during the archrivals derby at the National Stadium over the weekend.

The players allegedly showed the abusive gesture to Young Africans as reaction to Musa Mgosi's winner that earned the Msimbazi Street a 1-0 win over their rivals.

Speaking to the Citizen yesterday, Tanzania football Federation (TFF) said they were waiting for the report from the match commissioner before taking stern action to the duo.

TFF slapped Young Africans player, Athuman "Chuji" Idd a three-month ban and a fine in 2007 for similar offence during their 2-0 loss to Simba in the Tusker Challenge Cup in Mwanza.

TFF Secretary General, Fredrick Mwakalebela said that they are yet to receive report from the commissioner, and declined to comment further on the issue.

In the Idd's decision, TFF admitted to have used the newspaper (Mwanaspoti) verdict to take the decision.

Apart from that, Mwakalebela said that the match collection report between Simba SC Cub and Young Africans would be made public today.
