Tunisia: Chamber of Deputies Speaker Receives Speaker of Djibouti's National Assembly

Tunis — Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Foued Mebazaa received, on Monday in Bardo, Mr. Idriss Arnaoud Ali, Speaker of Djibouti's National Assembly and Secretary-General of the People's Rally for Progress who is taking part in the Constitutional Democratic Rally (RCD) International Symposium, held on the 22nd anniversary of the Change.

The talk made it possible to review bilateral relations and stress the need to further boost them in all sectors, particularly in the parliamentary area to serve the two brotherly peoples' mutual interests.

The two sides highlighted the need to step up contacts and enhance co-ordination between the two countries' MPs, as part of meetings of regional and international parliamentary authorities.

Mr. Idriss Arnaoud Ali expressed admiration and consideration to Tunisia for the success made on the path of progress, stressing his country's will to make the most of the Tunisian parliamentary experience.

The Djiboutian guest informed the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the latest developments of the situation between Djibouti and Eritrea and his country's view on this issue.
