It was time to let down hair for the ladies from Mary Stuart while the guys from Lumumba joined in to dance the night away at the Lumbox Carnival. It's an evening of fun and entertainment that brings together the biggest alliance of halls at Makerere University.

The musical fete was courtesy of uganda telecom who lined up artistes like Cindy, Grace Nakimera, Jose Chameleone & Leone Island, Bebe Cool, GNL Zamba and Mowzey Radio & Weasel. It was a free-for-all affair, and despite the earlier downpour, campus students braved the cold weather and muddy pitch, as they flocked the Makerere Sports Grounds for free entertainment that went on till about 1a.m.

Bebe Cool has stage presence and his songs like Bogola Ko, which fans sang along word for word, made him one of the biggest performers at the carnival. GNL's mix of lugaflow and captivating lyrics kept the girls cheering on, confessing their love for the Hip-hop artiste. Cindy and Grace got the lauds too, thanks to their hit songs Ayokyayokya and Kawonawo respectively.

Besides the musical entertainment there were some goodies to win and Joseph Kayongo won himself a Pentium 4 desktop computer after buying Shs2,000 worth of air time. Other winners won T-shirts, caps, airtime and phones.
