Dr Timothy Aluko, author of the famous satirical novel One Man, One Wife" is. planning to mark his golden jubilee in publishing with another book.
According to his son, Adeseye, the new book would be unfolded on November 9.
The new book would obviously centre on contemporary issue affecting Nigerian leadership.
A literary contemporary of Chinua Achebe, whose best seller, 'Things Fall Apart' clocked 50 years last year, Dr. Aluko's first book 'One Man, One Wife' was published in 1959. Aluko's other novels include "One Man, One Matchet (1964), Kinsman and Foremen (1966), Chief the Honorable Minister (1970) and His Worshipful Majesty (1973), Wrong Ones in the Docks (1982).
His works focus on clash of new and old Africa values.
Aged 91, Dr. Aluko in 1994 published his autobiography, My Years of Service, while in 2007, he updated his autobiography entitled, "The Story of my life."
The eminent author, a doctorate degree holder in municipal engineering has received awards like the Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in 1963 and Officer Order of the Niger (OON) in 1964.
A graduate of Higher College Yaba Lagos, and the University of London, Dr. Aluko specialised in civil engineering and town planning. He was a former Director of Public Works in the then Western Nigeria and departed from civil service in 1966.
Aluko later pursued a career as an academic until his retirement in 1978. He is a trustee of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) since its inception.
