The officials of the Islamic clerics of Hisbul Islam in Luq town in Gedo region have said they achieved ending conflicts between two Somali clans in villages around the town in Southern Somalia, official said on Tuesday.
At least one person was killed and more than 10 others were wounded in Af-madow village near Luq town in Gedo region after fighting between the two Somali clans who fought there in south of the country recently.
Sheik Hassan Al-iraqi, the security secretary of the Islamic clerics of Hizbul Islam in the Luq town told Shabelle radio that the important things that both the rival Somali clans were to solve everything with the Sharia law and to reach ceasefire agreement.
Sheik Hassan added that more fighters of the Islamic organization of Hizbul Islam reached at the zones where both sides fought recently pointing out that the forces are there not to happen fighting between them once again.
Reports say that the rival clans were fighting for dispute on a grassing land and the mediation efforts of both Somali clans is part of a complete agreement between the two sides which is due to happen the coming days.
