The Federal Capital Territory Administration as part of efforts to heighten security within the city is partnering with a Canadian-based company to hold a workshop on security matters.
Senator Adamu Aliero is expected to declare open the 3-day exhibition and workshop billed for November 3 to 5, 2009 with the theme "Emerging Security Challenges."
The Chief Executive Officer of Blueflower Limited, Chido Nwakanma, who disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja said that the workshop and exhibition will be jointly organised by Inkastrans Limited, a Canadian-Nigerian joint venture in collaboration with the FCT Administration.
Nwakanma stated that the event which will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja would showcase and introduce several innovative features on security management for personal, corporate and municipal use in Nigeria, adding that the former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Coomasie, is expected to chair the occasion.
Also to grace the event are Service Chiefs, members of the National Assembly, including chairpersons of its respective Committees on Internal Affairs, Police and the FCT.
Inkastrans Business Development Executive, Mr. Eugeni Stankevichi, explained that the exhibition will feature state-of-the-art security equipment, including armoured vehicles of both luxury cars and bullion vans.
He said: "The highlight of the exhibition include the safe city surveillance and monitoring systems ranging from personal to city-wide security solutions," stressing that the workshop will also feature key players at various levels of security network. It would be recalled that the firm has produced a heavily armoured transport vehicle for a Russian bank in the early 1990 and has since established a world-wide reputation as a leading specialist in wide range of built-to-specification security solutions for personal, corporate, urban and government use.
Also cities like Stockholm, Sweden, Edmonton and Mississauga; Canada; as well as international airports at Heathrow, Zurich and Frankfurt are locations where the Inkastrans trademark is acknowledged as a reputable security solutions provider for municipal entities.
