Tanzania soccer giants Simba and Young Africans have expressed dissatisfaction of Sh420 million Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) announced to have collected from the Saturday derby.

Young Africans secretary general Lawrence Mwalusako told The Citizen they expected the match to raise over Sh700million.

Mwalusako said the club doubted the figure as it didn't match with over 48,000 spectator who paid between the sold out Sh5000 and 7000 as the lowest to the highest Sh60,000 and Sh50,000 per head.

" At least Sh600 million could sound go close to the estimation, but then said Sh420 million is hardly acceptable," said Mwalusako.

Simba SC information officer Clifford Ndimbo declined to comment said he was not authorised to comment on the matter prior to the official go ahead from the club's executive committee.

The giants each hauled Sh 93.540,885 as their share of the derby's loot.

The match grossed sh. 420,235,000 according to the figure released by Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Secretary General Fredrick Mwakalebela yesterday.

Mwakalebela said that the teams were given sh. 90, 132, 795 each from the total collection and then added Sh3,408,090 as contribution to the club. Total 48,687 soccer fans attended the match.
