Galka'o — Troops loyal to the semi-autonomous region of Puntland have captured several people in an operation they carried out north of Galka'o town in Mududg region, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Tuesday.
Reports say that the security forces of Puntland started operations in several neighborhoods in north of Galga'o town detaining more suspected people after repeatedly killing and explosions against the officials of the administration.
Muse Ahmed Abdirahman known as (Hasasi), the police chief of Puntland administration in Mudug region told Shabelle radio that they captured many people during the operations pointing out that those detainees were suspected of being behind the murdering actions and blasts occurred there.
Muse added that the arrested people were accused of creating lack of confidence situation in the town and the step comes as there are insecurity situations in Galka'o town particularly north.
