Angola: Deputy Chief of Staff Calls Armed Forces for Perseverance

Uige — The deputy chief of staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) for social affairs, gen. Maurício Amaro Zulu, Monday in Uige urged the soldiers to give priority to hope and perseverance, in order to ensure the security of territorial integrity.

The FAA senior officer said so while laying a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier, in the provincial hospital of the capital city, on the occasion of the celebrations of the All Souls' Day, November 2.

"The Angolan Armed Forces are entrusted to defend all nation. With the spirit of solidarity, hope and perseverance, we think of our loved ones who died in various missions of defence of the motherland", said the general.

To him, FAA are the guarantee of territorial integrity and sovereignty of a selected region, adding that they are in stage of reconstruction that coincides with the national reconstruction process.

Maurício Zulu mentioned 2010 as a decisive year for the Angolan Armed Forces, in the training of soldiers in all domains, reconstruction of barracks and other infrastructure, as well as the creation of living security conditions for the troops.
