Tunis — An Environmental Arab youth Camp is meeting on Monday in Tunis under the theme of " Arab youth, responsible for preserving the environment", the event is held at the initiative of the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Physical Education and in cooperation with the Arab Nations League and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
The camp's program includes visits to Tunisian environmental institutions including the International Center for Environmental Technologies of Tunis (CITET) and the National Bank of genes.
The event is part of the celebration of the Arab environmental day.
Mr. Nadhir Hamada, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, reiterated Tunisia's efforts to set up national strategy, education and which have led to the creation of over 3,300 environmental clubs to educational institutions and a network of 120 "Sustainable Schools".
The Tunisian environmental landscape boosts 200 organizations that are very active in protecting the environment through the establishment of a national integrated communications network, supported by the expansion of space dedicated to computers and the holding of awareness days and field campaigns.
