Two student groupings from two of Liberia's leading Universities have hailed Unity Party (UP) Senatorial Candidate Clemenceau Urey and outlined the numerous contributions he has made to the educational sojourn of the country's youths. The United Methodist University Students Union and The Friends of Urey, University of Liberia Chapters said his efforts to individually contribute to the education of the country's youths are laudable with far-reaching implication on the nation's human resource program.
Speaking Friday during an interactive forum between Students of the United Methodist University and The UP candidate, Surprise Weah, Vice Chairman of the United Methodist University Student Union, recalled that Mr. Urey's financial contributions to the student leadership remain a source of delight to the student leadership as it has aided deserving students. Weah noted that if the youthful generation are to become the future leaders, they will the opportunity and support needed to confront future challenges.
He considered as vital the weekend contributions of fifty chairs to the UMU by Mr. Urey, assuring that it will ease the situation of seating capacity at the school. He called the UP stalwart gesture compliments the UMU student leadership's quest to tackle the issues of sanitation on campus.
For his part the University of Liberia Chapter of Friends of Urey, FOCUS in a Statement issued during the weekend considered Urey a nationalist who has propelled the Country's' youth with his passionate support to educational drives. Focus statement signed by its head Aaron Woods indicated that Urey's gesture remained a fundamental backup to governments Poverty Reduction Strategy.
The statement furthered that Mr. Urey cuts across the country's political divide by his actions and contribution to the community and as such he has earned the confidence of the people. The Focus statement referred to Urey as a unique character prepared to enact laws that will impart the people's interest and as demonstrated his readiness to put the nation's first not self.
