Kigali — RWANDA'S Football federation, Ferwafa has cancelled an exhibition match between APR and Rayon Sport on November 10, the day when the trophy arrives in Kigali.
Ferwafa's Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa yesterday explained that the friendly match had been called off to put off any injury scenarios for Amavubi Players ahead of their crucial Zambia qualifier four days later.
The trophy jets in next Tuesday and football fans will have a rare opportunity to have their photos taken with the solid gold trophy at Amahoro stadium and Serena Hotel.
The iconic trophy which measures 36.8 centimeters high, weighs 6,175 Kg is made up of 18-carat of gold.
The first port of call for the biggest prize in football was Cairo, Egypt, where the Trophy first touched African soil on September 21.
