Kampala — KABALE delegate Godfrey Kwizera who failed to show up for the FUFA presidential nomination, yesterday demanded for the sacking of returning officer Patrick Okanya.

"Okanya has messed up this whole electoral process, he must go," Kwizera charged at a packed press conference Hotel Triangle on Buganda Road.

"He is either biased or has just failed to manage the electoral process."

Kwizera, flanked by his campaign manager Muhammed Menya, complained that the idea of prior nomination of candidates was a creation of Okanya which has brought more problems.

"It is even unconstitutional. Okanya should step out of this process because he is not a gentleman," Okanya added.

Kwizera who missed nominations which closed on Monday, has since threatened court action.

"People like Okanya seem to only understand the language of the law. I was not going to legitimatise a flawed electoral process," he said.

But Okanya dismissed Kwizera as an irresponsible candidate.

"How come he booked appointments with me for nomination? He should be apologetic for not showing up," Okanya charged.
