Ihekire, the president of Likemind Friends Association The Gambia, described the initiative as a way of thanking God for providing them with such provision and for knowing that these people in such places like RVTH, SOS and Mile 2 prison will be in need of the association's aid.
David Colley, the director of Prisons Department in Mile 2, thanked the organisation for their kind gesture. According to him, government and the prison management are doing everything required to make these inmates comfortable by providing all their needs.
