You may have a different opinion but after paying your hard -earned CFA 10,000 for a hotel room, you discover the unexpected. No water and blurred TV images. The hotel proprietor is evasive and bites his lips as he unconvincingly tries to convince. He shouts at his staff for water to be carried from a nearby public tap.
This is what befell a group of foreign tourists last week when they came visiting Buea. And in these days when cholera is snuffing out lives in some parts of the country, needless to throw light on the health hazard of staying in a hotel without water. In such a situation, we know where to apportion blame. And in such a situation, we equally know those to blame when we start complaining of a drop in tourist revenue. Any comment?
