Tunisia: Country to Participate in "Expo 2010 Shanghai China

Tunis — Mr. Ridha Ben Mosbah, Minister of Commerce and Handicrafts, chaired on Monday in Tunis a meeting on the preparations for Tunisia's participation in the "Expo 2010 Shanghai China" also known as "Shanghai World Expo" which will run from May to October 2010 in China.

"Expo 2010 Shanghai China" aims at promoting the exchange and development of economy, in the sectors of culture, science and technology.

According to the Tunisian Centre for the Promotion of Exports (CEPEX),the "Shanghai World Expo" which will last for 6 months, is an occasion for Tunisian companies to link up with relationships from different parts of the world.

The Tunisian stand will be set under the theme "Tunisia tourist destination" and will showcase the country's rich millenary heritage, craftsmanship and economic achievements.

More than 20 thousand celebrations, exhibitions, forums and events on the Expo theme "Better city, Better life" will be held throughout an area covering 5,28 square Km.
