The charge d' affaires at the Gambian Embassy in the United States of America, Ebrima JT Kujabi, has written to the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, congratulating him on the occasion of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The message reads: On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, on behalf of the staff of the embassy of the Republic of The Gambia in Washington DC and on my behalf, we extend our warmest congratulations to your good self and your entire staff on this auspicious month of blessing and reward.
May the Almighty Allah accept our prayers and supplications during this blessed month, render mercy in accepting our fast, and forgive us all our transgressions. We further pray for the Almighty to outpour his blessings on your esteemed self, your entire family, and also forwarding through your high office our prayers for peace and prosperity to the entire people of The Gambia. Please accept Your Excellency the assurances of our highest consideration and sincere best wishes.
