The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, says she looks forward to forging closer cooperation between Liberia and Turkey as the two governments work together through the United Nations and other International forums to promote social justice, equal opportunity and human dignity for all peoples of the world.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the declaration is contains in President Johnson Sirleaf congratulatory message to the government and People of the Republic of Turkey on the auspicious occasion making the National Day of that Country.
In the Message to her Turkish counterpart, His Excellency Abdullah Gul, President Johnson Sirleaf extended warmest felicitations and sincerest best wishes to the Turkish leader, and through him, to the government and People of Turkey, on behalf of the government and people of Liberia and in her own name.
President Johnson Sirleaf further noted that since the ascendancy of Mr. Abdullah Gul to the presidency of that country, the Turkey-Liberia relations have continued to be strengthened to the mutual benefits of both countries.
President Johnson Sirleaf then hoped and prayed that His Excellency Abdullah Gul, the Government and People of Turkey will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, unity and prosperity under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Gul.
