Gambia:KGH On Course to Defend Their Title

Last year's Lamin knockout title holders KGH Sports Academy, on Friday 30th October has advanced to the knockout final following their 2-1 demolition of Network KFC at Sanna Jatta Memorial Field in Lamin.

Adama Jatta unlocked the opponent's goals in the 20th minute of the first half when he hammered in from close range.

Captain Modou Lamin Kuyateh doubled the score line to 2-0 before Famara Gibba produce a consolation for Network in the 72nd minute to bring the score line to 2-1.

It was a well fought battle in which both teams displayed maturity and beautiful football to gain the day's glory.

However, at the end of the regular time, it was the Academy lads who triumphed 2-1.

Baba Dumbuya, the coach of KGH Sports Academy said that their quest to defend their last year's title is well on course. "Our target is the final and we have attained that. We will now focus on the strategies to win the knockout final.

Coach Dumbuya narrated that their game against Network was very good and his boys played well and coordinated as a team. "It was really a positive game for us".KGH Sports who are also finalists in the first ever inter Academy tournament are poising for a silver ware in that championship.

According to the coach, their success is as a result of their (players and officials') hard work, dedicated and understanding in working collectively as a team.
