Nigeria is struggling to access about 10 percent of Chinese market.
According to the Chairman, National Organising Committee, 1st Nigeria-China trade and investment forum, Ambassador Idris Waziri, local investors are warming up to use the opportunity of the forthcoming event as a platform to access the Chinese market. The event is slated to hold in Abuja in November, 2009.
According to him, if we have looked at great nations of the world and great players and discovered that if Nigeria could explore 10 per cent of Chinese market, its economy would improve tremendously.
He said that the forum is part of private sector initiatives to support the Federal Government to realise its Vision 20: 2020.
"You do not have to be in government to contribute to achieving the vision. As a patriotic Nigerian, there are so many things you can do to support Mr. President. Even in your home, wherever you find yourself, as a Nigerian you must do something to help Nigeria to succeed. As a good people,, great nation, it must be reflected from the grassroots to the national level," he said.
