Minister and Chairman National Sports Commission, Sani Ndanusa, yesterday, urged the Golden Eaglets to beat New Zealand to advance in the Fifa Under-17 World Cup.
Speaking with the players after their training at the Abuja Natiomal Stadium, Ndanusa said, "I must beg because I need the victory, please beat New Zealand to move on to the quarter-finals. The winner between Mexico and Korea would not pose any threat in your quarter finals match.
"The moment you are in the quarter-final stage, the remaining opponents would be afraid of you. So, go in there and beat New Zealand, which is your first hurdle", Sani Ndanusa told the Eaglets.
