Abuja — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the February 6, 2010 governorship elections in Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has taken his campaign to the United States of America (USA), where he unveiled his economic blueprint, which he intends to use to transform the state.
Soludo, who spoke at this year's annual convention of the Anambra State Association in Maryland, United States of America (ASA-USA), last week had solicit the support of indigenes of the state in Diaspora towards the actualisation of his governorship ambition.
The former Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) was represented at the occasion by the trio of Mr C. Maduabum, a federal lawmaker, Mr Handel Okoli, a former Special Assistant to ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo and former PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra State, Mrs Oby Okeke-Okwubanego.
The event which featured "the Gubernatorial candidates Forum" as well as a Town Hall meeting, was to afford the Anambra community in the US, the opportunity to interact with candidates of the parties.
The forum also featured governorship candidates of two other political parties, namely Mr Peter Obi of APGA and Dr Chris Ngige of the Action Congress, (AC).
Obi was represented by Professor Chinelo Okunna, Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Development and his Information counterpart, Mr Maja Umeh, while Ngige was also represented by Mr. Isama.
