Innocent Niyonshuti

5 November 2009

Kigali — 3,720 unity and reconciliation cadres will be taking part in the ongoing unity week that commenced on Monday.

Speaking during a workshop that brought together over 90 representatives from all the districts, a member of the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC), Edward Rucogoza called upon all cadres to fully participate in the unity week.

The meeting was meant to brief participants on the activities for the seven-day celebrations.

The unity week was initiated to highlight testimonies on achievements in national unity and reconciliation, and to mark the closure of Gacaca courts at sectors level.
