Kigali — LOCAL athletes have been invited to participate in this year's edition of the MTN Kampala International marathon set for November 22 at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala Central division.
Rwanda's Athletics Federation (RAF) has revealed that they have been offered slots for a male and female athlete.
Constantine Twajamahoro, a RAF official said that they have until the end of the week to name the athletes.
Meanwhile, APR athletics federation which boosts of some of the leading athletes in the country is set to field a strong team.
This year's edition is expected to attract over 25,000 athletes amongst which include Uganda's duo of Moses Kipsiro and Dorcus Inzikuru.
Inzikuru won the marathon back in 2006.
