PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda yesterday left for Burundi to attend the international conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) heads of State and Government round-table conference.

Mr Banda, who is current ICGLR chairperson was seen off at Lusaka International Airport by Vice-President George Kunda, several Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, service chiefs, Secretary to the Cabinet Joshua Kanganja and several Government and MMD officials.

Mr Banda is expected to chair the two-day high-level event, which will run from today to tomorrow.
