Ghana: MTN First Casualties

Two team mates of the MTN Ghana-Nigeria Soccer reality show bowed out of the show in an emotionally charged atmosphere, when the eviction rod hit them in the first eviction show at the Academy House in Accra on Sunday evening.

And like it happened in the maiden edition of the competition, where Gyasi and Annor emotionally exited and wept uncontrollably in the first eviction evening, so were the two, Samuel Chibyzor (#1) and Caygu Williams(#9).

No amount of encouraging words from their team mates as well as coaches Ibrahim Sunday and Mohammed Polo could appease them. They however appeared comforted and focused at the post-eviction press conference yesterday.

They thanked the organizers of the show, Optimum Media Prime (OMP) and the coaches for giving them the platform to polish and showcase their talents. The evictees promised to relegate the setback to the dustbin of history, and to strive for greater laurels in their soccer careers.

Coaches Sunday and Polo psyched them to remain focused as they strive to reach the top. For their efforts, they received glittering trophies, special cash prizes and MTN souvenirs.
