Spanish cadet team crushed Burkina Faso side 4-1 at the Sani Abacha stadium in the on-going Under-17 Championship to book a place at the quarter-final stage of the competition.
The interesting encounter saw the Spaniards drawing the first blood in the 19th minute of the game through Sergio Roberto who latched on a free pass to score the goal.
The Burkina Faso side put up a brilliant effort that produced an equalizer by Abdoulaye Ibrango in the the 26th minute before Spain started roaring all through.
The technically balanced Spaniard team changed the tempo of the game with good positional play and fluid passes, resulting in the second goal by Sergio Roberto in the 57th.
Roberto scored the first hat-trick for his side in the 67th minute to dash the hope of the African challenge through a clinical header that confounded the defense of the Burkinabes
The high scoring Spaniards side converted a spot pick at the 83rd minute to coast home with a quarter-final ticket.
Commenting on their exit, the Burkina Faso coach, Rainer Wilfred balmed his team ouster to 'inexperience, adding that the 'boys did their best'
