Uganda: Three Injured in Car Accident in Masindi

Kampala — Three people sustained severe injuries when the vehicle in which they were travelling in overturned on the Gulu-Kampala highway.

The mid-western region Police spokesperson, Zurah Ganyana, identified the injured as Julius Nsemere, 35, the driver of the vehicle belonging to the district NAADS department.

Others were Francis Nyoruga, 34, a guard at Mutunda health centre and John Kirungi, all residents of Masindi town council.

Ganyana said the driver swerved as he tried to avoid knocking a pedestrian at Siriba village. The victims were rushed to Kiryandongo Hospital, where they are recovering.
