Nigeria: Yar'dua Condoles Tasi's Family

Katsina — President Umaru Musa Yar'adua yesterday condoled with the families of the deceased leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Tasi Elder who died in Katsina last Monday.

The condolence massage was delivered by a delegation of the state's Abuja PDP faction led by the Minister of Agriculture Alhaji Abba Sayyadi Ruma, Chief Economic Adviser to the President, Alhaji Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi and Yar'adua's close confidant, Alhaji Dahiru Bara'u Mangal.

Other members of the delegation are Senator Yakubu Lado DanMarke,House of Representatives members, Umaru Kurfi, Ahmed Dayyabu Safana, Shehu Inuwa Imam and Abdulkadir Nasir. The deceased's elder brother Mallam Musa Umaru Elder who received the delegation told this reporter that President Umaru Yar'adua has through the delegation expressed his deepest sympathy to the family over the loss and prayed for God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
