Abuja — A new twist emerged yesterday in the Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with the National Chairman of the Party, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor dissolving the existing Executive Committee and replacing it with a caretaker Committee.
It would be recalled that the State Executive Committee and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP in line with the ruling of the court recognized the Uchenna Emodi-led executive until he resigned to pick form to contest for the Anambra State governorship race, but he could not scale as he was disqualified by the Screening Committee.
In a statement by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali in Abuja yesterday, the 18-member Caretaker Committee, has the former Economic Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr. Osita Ogbu as the Chairman.
