Tunis — President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali received more congratulatory messages from national organisations and associations, on his brilliant victory in the presidential elections.
Components of civil society praise the ambitious programmes and objectives contained in the presidential platform for the next five-year term, "Together We Meet Challenges," which are likely to enrich Tunisia's gains on the path of reform and modernisation. Organisations express, in these messages, their support to the rich electoral programme and pledge themselves to contribute to materialise them and finish off the civilisational project of Tunisia of the Change and enhance the attributes of security, stability and well-being of all Tunisians.
President Ben Ali also received congratulatory messages from several expatriate associations in which they express deep satisfaction at the progress of elections which were marked by a climate of serenity and transparency and their pride at his re-election for a new term.
Associations commend, on behalf of their members, the climate of peace enjoyed by Tunisia and the country's progress which is a source of pride for the African continent. These messages were sent by:
- Union of Tunisian Publishers,
- Tunisian Association for Self-Development and Solidarity, ATLAS,
- African Federation of Pupils' and Students' Parents in Kinshasa, FAPE, and
- "Solidaires sans Frontières" Association in France.
