The Organisation Utting Foundation, The Gambia, a British philanthropic organisation in collaboration with Fernando Mendy, a native of Manduar, recently sponsored the construction of a Borehole Project, in Kombo Central, Western Region.
The inauguration ceremony was held recently at Manduar Village. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Fernando Mendy said the project is not only concentrating on boreholes but that it has also supported Gambians in the areas of health, education which were initiated through the efforts of the British couples.
Mendy said the organisation have also donated stationery materials to three schools in the same village. The beneficiary schools are; Manduar Lower Basic School, Catholic Mission Nursery and Tambasansang Nursery School.
