MTN Ghana, the leading telecommunications operator in Ghana, has launched her 3.5G technology in Takoradi and its environs.
Under the theme "Go beyond, experience your better life today", the launch brought together stakeholders and subscribers of the network.
According to a statement from the company, the 3.5G Technology marks an evolution in mobile technology for Ghana and builds on the network's existing superior coverage footprint. The implementation of the technology, it added, was a major step that places Ghana at the forefront of technology, and establishes MTN's position in the league of the top mobile operators throughout the world.
In his remarks, Mr. George Andah, Chief Marketing officer of MTN, expressed satisfaction about the significant progress the company has made in building an extensive 3.5G network and making it available to over seven million valued customers in Accra, Tema, Kumasi and now Takoradi and Cape Coast.
Aside this, MTN's 3.5G technology was brought to encourage the use of data and internet services. So far, the company also offers 3G Bundle to its customers. This offer is to make 3.5G devices affordable and attractive to its customers.
"The introduction of the 3.5G service," the statement added, "fulfils MTN's pledge to bring world class telecommunication service to its subscribers and the general public. MTN will continue to roll out more innovative services onto the market."
