Cape Town — A palatial home is poised to set new records for the most valuable property ever sold in the suburb of ambassadors and bishops.
The residence is to be found in Hillwood Road in Bishops-court and is on the market for R49,5-million.
And if estate agents Seeff find a buyer for that price, it will be a record for a suburb long-known as Cape Town's grandest.
How grand? Well, the newly-built home is set on a large erf measuring 5 422m2. On arrival, you and your seven cars will all find waiting garages.
And then the regal living starts. For instance Friday evening entertaining should be a breeze - thanks to features like pizza oven, billiards room, an extra-large Jacuzzi, steam room and infra-red sauna cabin. And a wine cellar.
Seeff publicist Tracey Brits, says the last highest residential sale price achieved in the area was R34.25m in November 2007.
