Some twenty two (22) staff members who have distinguished themselves in the taxation service in the North West Region have been rewarded. The 22 who were congratulated for professional competence, assiduity respect for hierarchy and discipline received certificates from the hands of the Regional Chief of Taxes for the North West Gana Joseph.
Handing over the certificates, the Regional chief of taxes Gana Joseph said the recognition should not send them to sleep rather it should spur them up to work harder. He encourage them to continue in the same spirit and urged those who were not rewarded to work hard so as to be on the list next year. He equally called for collaboration.
For one of the staff who was rewarded Merinivest Jingla she was so delighted. "it came to me as a surprise. If I were asked to choose a good worker I would have chosen somebody else" she disclosed. She also intends to work harder so as to keep up the spirit.
In a related development, the taxation department also organized a ceremony to send off two of its staff members going on retirement. Nguelle Adiang Joseph and Andongibi Stephen Ambokwe were all congratulated for their services rendered during their years in service. Gana Joseph revealed that their experiences have been useful to the younger generation. He said retirement comes to permit a worker to enjoy a merited rest yet it also open other perspectives and marks the start of a new life.
