Tunis — As part of the celebration of Tunisian theater centenary, the M'hamed Maarouf Sousse cultural center is hosting from November 4 to 7, 2009 the 7th edition of Hadramaut Comic arts workshop.
Fifty five participants gathered in the workshop in order to complete training in arts, involving mime, drama dance, "comedy of art", and mask making.
An exhibition of masks by Mohiddine Ben Abdallah was inaugurated related to the theatrical practice, and two Tunisian recent pieces, which were scheduled as part of the event.
For its part, Tunisian National Theater will showcase "the daughter of General Gabler", a play translated into Arabic by Mohamed Driss, director of Tunisian's National Theater.
On May 26, 1909, Tunisian comic actors gave their first play in Arabic language at the Rossini Theater (the current Tunisian theater in Tunis).
