Three Naads Sub-county coordinators in Moroto District were yesterday interdicted after failing to account for money and items they got for various projects.
The officials are Mr James Peter Olinga who has been the Naads coordinator of Nadunget Sub-county, Mr Paul Omonuk , Lokopo Sub-county and Mr Andrew Tikol, the coordinator of Katikekile Sub-county.
Mr Olinga allegedly disappeared with seeds that were supposed to be distributed to farmers and failed to provide the Chief Administrators Office with written accountability.
The district's Principal Personnel Officer, Mr Joseph Lomongin who interdicted the officials said Mr Omonuk allegedly misappropriating seeds, hoes, goats and chicken that were intended for farmers.
He said Mr Tikol also disappeared with an unspecified number of hoes. He said the district lost over Shs30 million in the scam.
"We went to villages where these items were supposed to be delivered but the intended beneficiaries almost stoned us because they were angry,' he said. He said the officials will get half pay as investigations continue.
