KWARA State Broadcasting Corporation (KWTV), Ilorin, under the leadership of the General Manager, Mallam Nurudeen Abdulraheem, has received commendation from the National Broadcasting Commission, (NBC).
The NBC, in a letter of commendation written to the manager of the Kwara Television Service (KWTV), lauded the state government over the compliance of the state television service to the NBC code in the transmitting of all programmes and news.
According to the letter, the NBC noted that the gesture has enhanced the quality of its programmes and thereby placed the television station above its contemporaries in the field of broadcasting.
The NBC letter, signed by the its state officer, Mr. Ekanem Antia, stated that the way KWTV had been doing its work showed that the station is up to the task of moving broadcast journalism forward urging contemporaries to take a cue from its innovations..
The letter noted the tremendous job the management of the television has been doing which, according to it, has continued to move the state forward in the area of social responsibility, economic prosperity, and peaceful co-existence of the people.
Abdulraheem, who dedicated the commendation to the continued support of the state governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to the cause of the station by granting approval to all its requests, said the station could boast of sophisticated equipment.
