Kampala — UGANDA coach Majidah Nantanda has opted for a defensive approach for the U-20 women World Cup qualifying return leg against Rwanda at Nyamirambo stadium today.
The Ugandan girls will be playing for the first time on an astro-turf.
Uganda's strategy will be snatching an early lead and Nantanda will look to the striking partnership of Riita Kivumbi and Hadijja Namalwa for goals and the defensive pair of ladys Nakitto and team captain Christine Wanyana for resilience at the back.
"Rwanda need the result more than us but we are not giving them a chance," Nantanda said before training yesterday.
Uganda will need a draw of any kind or better still victory to advance to the first round stage where they will meet Zambia.
