Kampala — A pharmacist was on Thursday arraigned in court on charges of adulterating drugs, forging drugs trademarks and operating without a licence.

Dan Tusubira, who resides in Banda, a Kampala suburb, is accused of forging chloroquine, quinine, metakelfin and fansidar. The prosecution told the Magistrate's Court at Nakawa that the concoction negatively affected the efficacy of the drugs which are ordinarily malaria drugs.

Tusubira, according to the prosecution, committed the offence on August 26, this year at his drug shop.
