The much reported FADAN hunt took place last Sunday in Lagos at the Civic Centre on Victoria Island. Vlisco, the official sponsor of the event featured a collection of designs with the theme, "frozen dreams".
The flamboyant and glamorous collection was designed from the original Dutch wax with brilliant contrasting colours and designs.
The collection also featured matching accessories, colourful shoes and bags done with the wax fabric. Each piece was unique in itself with great fit, clean finishing and feminine appeal. Models carried the outfit well to the delight of an appreciative audience who cheered as they walked the runway.
And if you are wondering what this lovely red, platform shoe is doing on this page, it was one of the side attractions at the event.
To make it a truly artsy show, Vlisco and FADAN also partnered with African Artist Foundation where artists competed for a 100 prize. The result was a breathtaking sculptural work- red platform shoe.The sculptor of this killer heel is Richardson Ovbiebo.
