Uganda: Seventeen Housemates Evicted, Eight to Go

Nigel Nassar

8 November 2009

Kampala — RIGHT now if you don't see either of Nigeria's Nkenna, Tanzania's Elizabeth or Angola's Emma, just know she was booted in last evening's eviction show.

One of them was expected to leave by press time yesterday. You could pick up your copy of The New Vision tomorrow for details on the eviction show.

Following that eviction, we now have eight housemates still in the run for the jackpot up for grabs - $200,000 (sh390m).

And as earlier predicted, Edward, the twin representative from Namibia, is upping his game by the day, which is getting him closer to winning the jackpot.

I will not be surprised, if the dude goes smiling all the way to the bank on December 06, the day the M-Net reality show wraps up.

He was the head-of-house last week, and brought about some rare leadership skills that united all the housemates, which is one of the reasons the housemates won their 100% wager on their weekly task.

And just when we thought the housemate he put up for possible eviction last week would nominate him, Edward on Friday yet again won the head-of-house task, securing himself immunity from eviction for another week.

And even though he does not win again this Friday, it's likely he will not have created that many enemies to nominate him and win him an eviction.

The task he won involved each housemate balancing on their face a saucer on which was a cup filled with a liquid.

Emma, Zimbabwe's Itai and Edward were the last men standing after the rest had dropped out. Then Itai gave up, leaving Edward and Emma in the run for about 15 more minutes before Emma finally gave up.

Do not forget to tune in tonight at 9:00pm to find out how the housemates nominated each other this morning, and who is up for possible eviction.

Who will Edward save? And who will he replace them with? I pray he puts up that Nigerian 'wana-be' Kevin.
