Somalia: Truck Accident Kills One, Injuries Another in Afgoi Town

A truck accident has killed one and injured another in Afgoi town, 30 kilometers south of the Somali capital Mogadishu, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Monday.

Reports say that the accident occurred between Bar Osma'il checkpoint and the former factory of vegetables in Afgoi town as a motorbike which the victims were traveling collided to a mini bus (Ambulance) from Daru Dawa hospital in the town in Lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia.

The wounded person was the motorcycle driver and was rushed to the main hospital of the town while the other died in the accident.

The traffic accident has been increasing in who south and central Somalia recently which caused more casualties of deaths, injuries and loss of properties of the Somali people and it is often caused by inexperienced drivers and rough streets in the war-torn country.
