Somalia: Islamists Execute a Fighter in Afgoi Town

The Islamic administration of Hisbul Islam in Afgoi town 30 kilometers south of the Somali capital Mogadishu has Sunday executed one of the Islamist fighters accusing of committing killing action against a doctor in the town recently.

Sources said the sentenced man was called Abdukadir Mohamed Abdi and was one of the Islamist forces of Hisbul Islam adding that his sentence happened at a square in Afgoye town in Lower Shabelle region.

Hundreds of people including the family of the deceased had gathered at the scene of the sentence to watch how the Islamic court carried out the sentence to the fighter who was accused of being behind the murder of a doctor a famous doctor who was killed in Afgoi town in southern Somalia.

Sources confirmed Shabelle radio that the sentenced man had shot and killed the doctor was reportedly a famous and called Osman Mo'allin Ahmed after disputing smoking as the doctor refused to stop it and lastly caused the killing.

It is the first time that the Islamic administration of Hizbul Islam in Afgoi town sentence people in the town since they took its control.
