Bayelsa United chairman, Chief Victor Rumson Baribote, has applauded the effort of the Bayelsa State governor, Chief Timipre Sylva, on the provision of sporting facilities for the youths of the state, even as he stressed that the commissioning of the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa yesterday will offer the state clubs campaigning in the Globacom Premier League added boast to do well.
Baribote, who could not hide his feelings on the import of the sport edifice, told Saturday League Special that football fans in and around Yenagoa can now come out in their hundreds to cheer the teams to victory when they return to Yenagoa.
"His Excellency (Chief Timipre Sylva) deserves all the accolades that one can give at this point. Also, the role of the sports ministry in ensuring we got to this level will be commended. Hopefully, when we return to Yenagoa for our league matches, we look forward to seeing a full house. Once more, I want to commend the governor for the architectural master piece he has built for Bayelsians," he concluded.
