UAC of Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Awuneba Ajumogobia, a Chartered Accountant with 21 years quality experience in External Audit, Accounting & Finance and Marketing, as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Mrs. Ajumogobia graduated from the University of Ibadan with a B.Sc (Honours) degree in Economics in 1982.

She began her professional career working with two global audit firms, Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co., and Deloitte where she acquired broad experience in audit, taxation and consultancy across several industries including Banking, Insurance, Construction, Manufacturing, Merchandising and Oil & Gas.

Mrs Ajumogobia left Deloitte as an Audit Manager and after several years in practice joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). During her 13 years as a member of Accenture's Senior Management team, she broadened her horizon considerably leading the Finance function and was at various times responsible for oversight of Marketing, Legal and Human Resources.

Some of the initiatives that Ajumogobia led include implementation of SAP, Sarbanes Oxley processes, Global Liquidity Management, and several Process Improvement projects.

She has attended numerous local and international industries, professional and personal development courses.

Ajumogobia recently left Accenture as Finance Director after which she worked on the national Vision 20:2020 project as a member of the Accenture consulting team.
