Uganda: Kevin Backstabs Nkenna

Kampala — JEREMY is out of the house, but, of course, you knew that. Nigel must have covered it by now, but I'll say it again anyway.

Truth be told, I don't have any valid reason for wanting him out, other than the easy-to-miss fact that he was not really interesting.

Emma may beg to differ, however, because she is up for eviction this week, so I don't think that matters. Also up for eviction are Nkenna from Nigeria and Elizabeth from next door. More on that later.

Jeremy's interview upon exit from what I've been told was pretty underwhelming, so much so, addition of a new housemate actually made more news. Last year, the housemates had an alien which, for lack of a better word, was 'local'. This year, they had a housemate who I suspect Bebe Cool was glad to see. I'm not a numbers person, but I bet everytime Ruby (the dog) appeared, someone chanted "Boom Bark Bogolako".

Leonel is fast becoming this year's playboy, seeing as everything is pointing at him moving away from Mzamo and making a play for Geraldine. I totally didn't see that coming. Heck, I was under the impression that Leonel would be long gone by now, but he is still there. Both he and his libido.

Elsewhere, we have egos coming into play, not that it should come as a shocker. Elizabeth was surprised that Emma made it this past week, but I won't hold that against her. I like Elizabeth. She knows this is a game and she didn't come here to make friends. She has Facebook, so when she asks: "how did Mzamo survive?" I'm with her.

On the other hand, Mzamo is not really winning any votes by turning to the bottle or the Nigerian (read Nkenna) and making prophecies that suggest Itai is out of there. The thing is, for some reason, Itai has successfully stayed under the radar. It's a pretty smooth strategy when you consider, it's hard to nominate someone you can't see.

Kevin, on the other hand, is being blacklisted as the snitch that he is. (If you are of a different persuasion, we will refer to Kevin as a snake or a fox or a lying scheming Nigerian)

The Bigbrotherafrica forum online has people riled. Kevin's act of nominating a fellow countrywoman (Nkenna) has been interpreted by some as a move to ensure that he is the one who takes home the money. When you really think about it, Nkenna's strategy of being 'honest' and Kevin's sneaky manoeuvres don't count for much. The winner will likely be taxed either way.

Mzamo and Nkenna have it in for Itai and have gone so far as to suggest that Itai will be the next housemate to leave the house (after this weekend). This shouldn't be a big deal, considering that a lot of this stuff was said under the influence of alcohol.
