Tanzania: One Thousand Math Questions

Arusha — A non governmental organization has produced a booklet that will be distributed to parents and teachers posing "One Thousand Math Questions". The booklet will assist primary school pupils with their Standard Seven examinations.

The NGO known as God Help the Children (GOHECHI) Centre is Tanzanian run and is based in Sekei village. It seeks to assist the orphaned, the poor, youth and the elderly in the community.

The math booklet - Furahia Hisabati za GOHECHI, will pose 1,000 examination like questions for primary students studying for their Standard Seven exams with its answers. The money raised will go directly to the children at GOHECHI.

The centre has planned a launching function on 14 November at the GOHECHI Centre School in Sekei village.

The youth soccer team will also be marching from Moshi to Arusha from 11 November to publicize the booklets launch and to raise funds for their proposed friendship trip to Uganda and Kenya.

GOHECHI Centre currently educates in excess of 120 children from ages two and half to seven and supports 30 youth.
